Mothers Day Cocktail Ideas.

With Mothering Sunday approaching we thought we would share with you our favourite cocktails for the mums, grandmothers, step mothers and generally all the special ladies in your life!

With this year being different and many of us not being able to celebrate together why not share a zoom and cocktail together instead.

The Espresso Martini.

Ingredients
65ml vodka
75ml coffee liqueur (such as Kahlua or Tia Maria)
75ml freshly brewed espresso
6 coffee beans

Chill 2 Martini glasses. Put the vodka, coffee liqueur and freshly brewed espresso into a lidded jam jar or cocktail shaker with a handful of ice. Using hot espresso helps to create a creamy head on the cocktail.
Shake vigorously for 30 seconds until well-chilled, then strain into the glasses. Top each with 3 coffee beans, if you like.

The Vodka Spritz.

Ingredients
30ml  Vodka
60ml prosecco or sparkling wine, chilled
90ml lemon squash
Lime cheeks or wedges, to serve
Ice

Fill a tall glass with ice.
Add 30ml vodka.
Pour in lemon squash, then gently squeeze a cheek of lime in before dropping it in the glass as garnish.
Top with prosecco or sparkling wine and stir.

The Vodka Watermelon Punch.

Ingredients
60ml chilled watermelon juice
35ml vodka use more or less depending on how strong you like your cocktail
30ml  (2 tablespoons) fresh lime juice about 1/2 lime
1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup for added sweetness* (optional)
fresh mint, lime wedges and small watermelon wedges, optional for garnish.

Add watermelon juice, vodka, lime juice, and your choice of sweetener syrup to a rocks or cocktail glass then stir to combine. Fill glass to the top with ice then serve with fresh mint and garnish with a lime wedge or watermelon wedge. Alternatively, you could add the ingredients into a shaker, fill it halfway up with ice, then shake to chill.

Ingredients
25 ml Gin
15 ml Martini Riserva Speciale Bitter
15 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
15 ml Honey syrup (3 parts honey / 1 part water)
125 ml Premium tonic water (chilled)
1/2 Orange Wheel

Pour your ingredients into a large wine glass (except the tonic)

Fill your glass to the top with cubed ice
Top with chilled tonic water and gently stir to integrate the flavours
Finish with half an orange wheel as a garnish before you serve.

Remember if you order by 2pm you can receive your order the next day.
