Made from PLA, these pint glasses are 100% biodegradable, and are almost impossible to distinguish from regular plastic disposable glasses.
They are the UK’s only CE stamped Pint-to Rim, making them suitable for use in licensed pubs and bars.
Biodegradable plastic pint glasses are becoming increasingly popular, and will hopefully one day be what all disposable plastic pints are made from. Although cornstarch is a renewable resource (unlike oil based plastics), to get the full benefit from using PLA, these glasses must be composted in properly maintained facilities. Degradation will take between 60-180 days in such conditions. They will not degrade on a landfill site.
