What is the difference between ‘clear’ and ‘flexible’? The ‘clear’ plastic pint glasses are similar to the type of plastic glass you might find on an airliner. They will crack if you try to break them but should not do so under normal use. The flexible plastic pint glasses are strong enough to be held properly without spilling beer but are shatterproof if trodden on.
Which plastic pint glasses are recyclable? RPET568CE and RPET284CE are the easiest. They are also CE approved for use in licensed premises. Biodegradable plastic pint glasses are also available, but reusable plastic pint glasses are the most environmentally friendly option.
Which of these plastic pint glasses are approved by Trading Standards? If you are planning to sell beer, we recommend the CE-marked P580CE, P300CE and 100569118 for flexible or for clear pints and halves C580CE and C290CE.
